EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE BOOKING THE BOUDOIR SESSION.
Absolutely not. In fact, the vast majority of women who book a boudoir session have never done anything like this before. You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do in front of the camera. I’ll guide you through every pose, expression and movement throughout the session.
Completely normal. Almost every woman tells me she’s nervous before her session. Within a few minutes, most clients relax and begin enjoying the experience. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive environment where you can feel confident and at ease.
Boudoir sessions are for women of all ages, shapes and sizes. You don’t need a special occasion, a certain body type or a particular level of confidence. Many women book simply to celebrate themselves and see themselves in a new light.
After booking, you’ll receive a detailed styling guide with outfit ideas and recommendations. Lingerie is not the only option. Bodysuits, oversized shirts, knitwear, blazers, jeans, silk robes and even simple sheets can create beautiful images.
Yes. I’m happy to offer advice before your session and help you choose outfits that suit your style, comfort level and vision for the photographs.
Boudoir sessions take place in my private Huntingdon studio, where everything is designed to create a relaxed and comfortable experience.
Most boudoir sessions last between 1 and 2 hours, allowing plenty of time for outfit changes and different looks.
Your privacy is extremely important. No image is ever shared without your explicit permission. Many clients choose to keep their photographs completely private, and that is always respected.
Absolutely. Most women book a boudoir session because they don’t feel confident, not because they already do. Through flattering lighting, posing and guidance, my goal is to show you a version of yourself you may not see every day.
Yes. Every selected image is professionally edited. Temporary blemishes and distractions can be softened while keeping your photographs natural and recognisably you.
You don’t need to. I’ll guide you through every pose from head to toe, including hand placement, posture and expressions. Nothing is left to guesswork.
Absolutely. If having a friend with you helps you feel more comfortable, they are welcome to attend and support you during the session.
Yes. Many clients book boudoir sessions as a gift for a partner, particularly for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings or special occasions.
After your session, you’ll receive a private viewing gallery where you can choose your favourite images and products. Various collections are available depending on how many photographs you would like to keep.
Your gallery is typically ready within approximately 3 weeks of your session.
Yes. Luxury albums, fine art prints and professional wall art are available. Boudoir albums are particularly popular and make beautiful keepsakes.
Definitely. In nearly 20 years of photographing women, I can confidently say that almost every client has told me they’re not photogenic before their session. The truth is, being photogenic isn’t something you’re born with—it’s the result of great lighting, flattering posing and expert guidance.

A women’s portrait session is a chance to celebrate yourself exactly as you are right now. Whether you’re marking a milestone, updating professional photographs or simply want beautiful portraits, the session is tailored to you.
Not at all. You don’t need a birthday, a promotion or a major life event. Many women book simply because they’re tired of always being behind the camera and want photographs they genuinely love.
Absolutely not. Most women who walk into my studio tell me exactly the same thing. My job is to guide you through flattering poses, expressions and styling so you feel comfortable and confident throughout the session.
You can wear whatever feels most like you. Some women choose elegant dresses, others prefer jeans and a blazer, knitwear or a simple shirt. You’ll receive styling advice before your session to help you prepare.
Hair and makeup are not provided as part of the session, but if you’d like a little extra pampering before your shoot, I’d be happy to recommend trusted local artists who can help you look and feel your best.

Absolutely. Women’s portrait sessions can also include mothers, daughters, sisters or close friends if you’d like to celebrate your relationship together.
