A Cake smash session is a great way to celebrate your little one’s… BIG milestone with the added bonus that you can leave all of the mess to me!
These sessions are all about your baby having fun and capturing your little one’s growing personality (and all the giggles!)
During the session, we’ll start with simple portraits of your baby, capturing their natural expressions and personality. Then, the cake comes out, and the real fun begins! Whether they dig in with enthusiasm or take a more delicate approach, every reaction is priceless. The session ends with a cute clean-up, often with a splashy bath, giving us even more moments to capture.

Here’s a sneak peek into how our Cake Smash Sessions unfold, turning your little one’s first birthday into a cake-tactic day of fun.
It all starts with an email enquiry.
Choosing the right photographer can be a daunting task. There are so many photographers, all with different styles and specialities so choosing the right one or you is really important to ensure you get the results you long for.I will email you my session guide to identify exactly what style you are after and to see if I am the right person for you.
Before the big day, we’ll have a consultation to finalize the details. This is where we’ll discuss decorations, cakes and any special considerations.
If you have a specific outfit or accessories in mind, feel free to bring them along!
On the day of the session, arrive at our studio with your little one, ready for a sugary adventure.
Your Cake smash photoshoot includes: a beautiful birthday-themed setup, a matching naked cake baked for you by our specialist partner.
Your session includes 3 parts: a portrait session (for some stunning “clean” portraits), the smash and a final “splash” into my miniature bath tub.
Once everything is set, your baby takes center stage. I capture the joy, excitement, and adorable mess as your little one explores the cake.
Parents are encouraged to join in on the fun, making it a memorable family experience.
